June 19th, WealthArc took part in the finals of the fourth edition of Luxembourg’s most prestigious Fintech contest aiming to foster financial innovation in the region.
The competition was organized by KPMG Luxembourg and Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHofT) and received 194 applications from 33 different countries. WealthArc was one of the 20 startups that qualified to the finals held in KPMG HQ in Luxembourg.
We were excited to present our company to the juries and touch base with local fintech ecosystem.
Speaking at the event, Luxembourg minister delegate for digitalization Marc Hansen said:
” The government is aware that digitalization is more than just another economic sector. The new ministry of digitalization aims to coordinate activities for all actors wishing to follow the digital path.“
Among the measures already taken in this direction, Hansen cited the creation of the first e-embassy In Luxembourg, for Estonia, as well as the collaboration between CTIE and SIGI to develop new blockchain applications for the public sector and for use in interactions with the private sector. It is truly refreshing to see such openness and an understanding of financial technology amongst local authorities.
Last but not least congratulations to Tokeny – tokenization platform to issue, manage and transfer security tokens – for winning the main prize and becoming Luxembourg’s startup of the year!
